CBS Atlanta 69 – Mental Health

I was honored to join Keisha Lancelin on Focus Atlanta for a conversation about something most people do not expect, vacation burnout.

It was a privilege to be part of a show that creates space for meaningful discussions around health and well being. Keisha and I explored why so many people return from trips feeling more exhausted than when they left, and what actually drives that fatigue.

We talked about how overplanning can turn time away into another form of stress, why morning sunlight and circadian rhythm alignment matter for resetting stress hormones, how bright lights and screens at night can quietly undermine your sleep even in a hotel room, and what it really takes to mentally disconnect so a vacation feels restorative rather than draining.

It was a thoughtful and energizing exchange, and I am grateful to the Focus Atlanta team for the invitation.

Thank you to everyone who tuned in and supported this conversation. Let’s take rest seriously and treat it as an essential part of health.
